About

I am a 30 year old, gay male who recently became aware of a very disturbing shift in the gay movement that is centering on the concepts of Identity politics.  While I care about the freedom and well being of all people, I do advocate for the “TQETC” being removed from the acronym of LGBT+  that has come to define our “community” LGB are the letters that refer to people’s sexuality, and though the gay and lesbian community share some similar hardships to Trans people, it is in no way the same, nor related.
I feel a part of my obligation as a male is to stand up to other males who cross the boundaries of women, claiming female/womanhood,  and  people, both men and women appropriating identities and sexualities of groups(gay men and lesbians) that they do not belong to.

  1. You go “Who Is Cis”! I’ve always hated the word “cis” because it sounds like cyst. It’s a creepy word. It outrages me when trans folks say that women have some sort of “cis privilege” as if being socialized into femininity is something that girls and women can escape.

    • The concept of “cis” privilege is ridiculous and offensive in regards to women. 100% agree. And yeah…sounds like something that could be puss filled. ick.

  2. wow this is a seriously messed up blog. You are MAN trying to police women’s spaces and police other people’s gender. How about instead of whining about some threat from a tiny portion of the population that not surprisely from a GUY who claims to support women and then think he has any fucking right to speak about their communities should look like. Forget about whether trans women are men or not. YOU CLEARLY STATE ON YOUR ABOUT PAGE THAT YOU ARE A GAY MAN. WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU KNOW ABOUT WHAT IT IS LIKE TO BE A LESBIAN OR A WOMEN? NOTHING. NO SHIT A WHITE GAY MAN WOULD WANT TO CLAIM A FORM OF PRIVILEGE THAT HE BENEFITS FROM DOESN’T EXIST. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME SOMEONE TRIED TO RAPE YOU BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT YOU WERE A LESBIAN AND NEEDED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON. OH RIGHT-NEVER! YOU CALL YOURSELF A RADICAL FEMINIST MAN YET YOU PRETEND YOU DON’T HAVE PRIVILEGE. SOUND LIKE THE SAME OLD RACIST, SEXIST MALE BULLSHIT THAT AND PRETTY DAMN ANTI-WOMEN. LET ME GUESS YOU HEARD IT’S NOT COOL TO MAKE FUN OF BIO WOMEN ANYMORE SO YOU THOUGHT YOU’D TAKE OUT YOUR MISOGYNY ON TRANSSEXUALS CAUSE IT’S THE COOL THING TO DO WITH HATEMONGERS. LISTEN YOU PATHETIC MAN, AS WOMEN BORN WOMEN I’D TAKE A 100 DUDE THAT WANT TO CHOP OFF THEIR DICK TO ONE LYING BIO GUY (AND PROBABLY CLOSET CASE TRANNY) WHO GETS OFF ON PRETENDING TO BE A FEMINIST.

    • I published this comment because I thought I should address what you’re saying here.

“You are MAN trying to police women’s spaces and police other people’s gender.”

No, I’m supporting the females in women’s spaces who object to trans women in those spaces. If females wish to support and include trans women they have my support- my point is actually allowing women autonomy over their space, so I don’t know where you come up with “policing” on that front. “gender” is a form of oppression, no one is telling anyone how they can or can’t look or express themselves. All I’m doing is acknowledging the reality of their birth sex and socialization.

“YOU CLEARLY STATE ON YOUR ABOUT PAGE THAT YOU ARE A GAY MAN. WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU KNOW ABOUT WHAT IT IS LIKE TO BE A LESBIAN OR A WOMEN?”

Yes, I’m a gay man calling out a harmful shift in the gay movement. I can do that actually. I never claimed to “know what it’s like to be a lesbian or a woman” I’m actually not a trans woman (who do such things.).

“WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME SOMEONE TRIED TO RAPE YOU BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT YOU WERE A LESBIAN AND NEEDED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON. OH RIGHT-NEVER! ”

Never, and I don’t think I’ve ever brought that up, so it’s hard to know what you’re getting at here. I have been raped however by a man. Gay men do have to worry about getting raped, especially out on dates, which is what happened to me.

“YOU CALL YOURSELF A RADICAL FEMINIST MAN YET YOU PRETEND YOU DON’T HAVE PRIVILEGE. ”

I’m now questioning if this is just a knee jerk response to this blog and if you’ve actually read any of it, because I’ve *never* once claimed I was a radical feminist(a title reserved for women). Nor did I ever deny my male or white privilege.

” LISTEN YOU PATHETIC MAN, AS WOMEN BORN WOMEN I’D TAKE A 100 DUDE THAT WANT TO CHOP OFF THEIR DICK TO ONE LYING BIO GUY (AND PROBABLY CLOSET CASE TRANNY) WHO GETS OFF ON PRETENDING TO BE A FEMINIST.

“Tranny” is offensive to trans people.

      • I think it was a knee-jerk reaction because she clearly didn’t read anything you said. Plus, I think it’s ironic that she claims that you police gender claims to stand up for transsexuals, and then accuses you of being a “closet tranny”. That’s a slur you know.

Even though that’s a really stupid comment, I hope that Vanessa never hangs out in trans jackivist (and ally and wannabe) territory, because I heard that they recently went batshit on an ally of theirs for using the word “tranny” three years ago. And she was deep in jacktivist territory and still got rape and death threats.

I think it’s funny that those of us who point out that gender is an oppressive social construct get accused of being secretly trans. Actually, one reason I chucked pomo politics and became a gender abolitionist was because the dummies in the local queer community kept insisting I was a closet genderqueer for being a lesbian scientist. If that’s not policing/enforcing gender than I don’t know what is, because that is literally the belief that women scientists, especially if they’re lesbians, can’t actually be women. They must be some other gender, because according to them women is a gender identity, instead of a word meaning “adult human female” and women have weak lady brains (the pomos believe in brain sex) that can’t do STEM. Yeah, it’s time to send that 1950s shit back where it belongs.

  3. Your website is great! I go to Smith (an all-women’s college), and as you may be aware, the whole school has been in uproar this past year over the issue of trans women as prospective Smithies (started greatly in part over one applicant, Calliope, who made news over it). One recent debate (on a social media site) was started by a straight Smithie who was sick of people telling her there are plenty of (trans) men to date here, but it quickly devolved into whether lesbians sleep with trans women. I, a lesbian, don’t, but of course the first outcry was “TRANSMISOGYNIST!”. Anyway, your writing is great. 🙂

    • Thank you for reading! And yes, it’s applying what is happening in our little acronym of a “community” Lines are obviously being drawn. Us orientation folks need to stick up for one another.

  4. The only word that I can think of that properly describes what is occurring is colonization. Colonizers always rewrite history and actively co-opt other cultures and identities. Indeed, the rewriting of history and appropriation of other cultures is vital to the colonization process.

As I type this post, the colonization of gay and lesbian history and culture is being actively promoted by transgender activists.

The shameless co-option of gay and lesbian identities certainly feels like a form of colonization. Males who call themselves “lesbian” feels like a form of rape to me. Lesbians are deeply emotionally and sexually attracted to women, and gay men are erotically and emotionally attracted to males. Transgender activists simply don’t understand why lesbians don’t desire penis on a heterosexual cross dressing middle aged male. In their minds, if they “identify as women” and still are sexually attracted to women, this means they are “lesbian”. A lot of these heterosexual men “transition” in mid-life after being married to women. Many of these males are biological fathers, and they call themselves “lesbian” after they “transition”. Some still have their male genitalia.

The lesbian phobic, “Overcoming the Cotton Ceiling: Breaking Down Sexual Barriers for Queer Transwomen” was designed to shame lesbians into adoring “lady stick” (slang for penis on a transwoman). Even though they knew full well that this was extremely offensive to lesbians, they held this sexist and lesbian phobic workshop anyway.

If people want to understand what they really think of lesbians and women in general, read the following:

    http://factcheckme.wordpress.com/2012/03/13/the-cotton-ceiling-really/

Not only is this homophobic on its face, trans porn star Drew DeVeaux shamelessly co-opts the work of second wave feminists.

“The term cotton ceiling is a reference to the “glass ceiling” that second wave feminist identified in the workforce, wherein women could only advance so high in the workforce but could not break through into positions of power and authority. The cotton represents underwear, signifying sex.”

Transwomen with penises suffer discrimination because lesbians don’t want to sleep with them. Apparently, they really believe this. I see it as just narcissistic, self-entitled male behavior.

What exactly is a “gay man trapped in a woman’s body”? Females are not a new kind of “gay man” anymore than males are “lesbian”. Because it’s expensive and it doesn’t create an actual penis that works like a penis, many FTMs opt out of “bottom surgery”. So, even if it might be regular old penis in vagina sex, some FTMs call themselves “gay men”. FTMs who are primarily attracted to men don’t call themselves bisexual. It’s gay as in “gay man”. This female states, “I want to be seen and considered as another gay man in every way.”

“I am a gay-male identified biologically-born female, a gay man trapped in a woman’s body. I am sweet, funny, romantic, and caring. I’m romantically, erotically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually attracted to gay men and gay-male culture. I have no desire whatsoever to turn a gay man straight, but rather I want to be seen and considered as another gay man in every way.”

The shameless co-option of other cultural identifies is a form of colonization, but it doesn’t stop here. It goes deep than this. They are rewriting history as I type this post.

THERE IS NO “T” IN GAY AND LESBIAN”.

  5. Since I’m not a gay man, I don’t know how they feel about the following video.

I seriously doubt if gay men really think a clitoris is a penis. When females take testosterone, the clitoris might grow an inch or two, but it is NOT a penis. It doesn’t ejaculate, and there is no way a biological female will ever know how men feel when they ejaculate.

    “Gay Sex with Transgender Men”

How is a biological female having sex with a male “Gay Sex”?

  6. Good about page! I also think that the alphabet soup of a “community” we have is beyond ridiculous. It should only be for LGB sexual orientations. (And maybe asexuals.) Also think including people with intersex conditions or third-gender categories from other cultures is appropriation and is disrespectful. Most people don’t seem to know what intersex means and there are a lot of trans people claiming to have intersex conditions to appear more legitimate. The same goes for some genderqueers (who are usually white) using Two-Spirit identities as an analog for genderqueer.

  7. I just discovered your blog, through a link provided by a commenter on dirtywhiteboi67.blogspot.com, and I’m very encouraged. I was starting to believe the only gay males who thought like this were dinosaurs like me, who remember the 1970s. I hope it’s one of the first waves in a turning tide on this issue among gay men. Good for you!

  8. I’m sorry but you can’t escape that fact that you are anti-trans. Maybe not transphobic, but you cannot walk around pretending like you are supportive. In your about you essentially say that born-men can’t proclaim womanhood. (ie trans identity is a lie) You have and don’t believe in trans people. And that’s okay, just don’t be so disgusting as to lie about it.

    • Tonya, please explain if I have not fully understood. I am a native male and I “proclaim” womanhood from the mountain-tops, if by that you mean shouting that it’s a good thing. But I do not, nor could, “lay claim” to it. Biological sex is a real thing, “gender” just a sociological fiction. You accuse, not me, but the owner of this blog, of “lying”. I’ll leave it to him, if he chooses to, to defend himself, but I can see no basis for your accusation.
